Within my third year placement, I implemented the strategy of ‘SUPERSTAR CHOICES’ punch card for individual children. When children demonstrated good behaviour they were rewarded with a star punch. Choosing to punch the card was significant to me as it meant that this was permanent and their reward could not be taken away. For every 5 punches the children received, the children were rewarded an extra 5 dojo’s. As well as this, once the children had complete their punch card they were able to select something from our reward box. This stimulated and motivated children to behave well and meet the expectation of having positive attitudes and values.
